Semen Testing

Semen testing or  Breeding Soundness Exam (BSE) is vital to making sure that your bulls are performing as they should. At the time of their BSE we recommend getting your bull trich tested to scan for venereal disease. A bull must have at least "Good" motility (equals 60-79% individual motility), a minimum density of "Good" (0.4-0.75 billion sperm/ml), at least 70% normal sperm, and a minimum scrotal circumference to be classified as a sound breeding bull. If your bulls does not pass their breeding soundness exam, we recommend rechecking them in about 30 days**.

**Can be more or less than 30 days depending on their reason for failing.
